Solid wood bookcase rustic country style with 30cm deep bookshelves. Gorgeous rustic bookcase, handmade to order using reclaimed timber, planed and sanded before construction, finished with your choice of Fiddes and Co Mellow Wax (please see finish options), to give each piece a traditional farmhouse finish. Hand built to order in my Oxfordshire workshop, includes an aftercare kit.

*(up to 160cm wide for the 100cm tall bookcase)

(shelf numbers includes base shelf)
These heights allow for 28cm between shelves. The shelves are fixed and equally spaced, but I vary the spacing on request or add an extra shelf at no extra cost if you add as a note when placing your order.
CUSTOM SIZES
As each piece is built to order, I’m always happy to create custom orders to meet your needs.
If you would like to order a bookcase greater than 120cm wide, or with a different height, number of shelves, custom depth etc, please let me know.
If you would like a wider bookcase, I also provide pairs of bookcases that are designed to connect together side-by-side with a single top piece. Please contact me for details.
FINISHES
Every piece is handmade using reclaimed timber and is therefore unique. I try to preserve some of the marks and scars from the timber’s previous life, which are revealed in a glorious lustre by the Fiddes and Co wax finish - English Oak and Georgian Mahogany are the most popular!
A picture of the wax finishes is included with the images, but please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss options or see examples of my furniture in various finishes.
If you intend to paint your item, I can send it out without wax or can prime it for a fee.
AFTERCARE KIT
Every order includes a 10ml tin of wax polish and a microfibre cloth with instructions for touching up any wear and tear on the piece.
